Who does not like attending comic cons? The Angry Koala Gear crew has enjoyed this year with attending a few great events this year, starting immediately in January with the Amazing Arizona Comic Con. We have also been fortunate to attend the Long Beach Comic Expo in April (where we also had the opportunity to be extras for Season 5 of The Guild, "we even made the cut on the last episode!!"), Phoenix Comicon in May, San Diego Comic Con in July, and now for the first time, the El Paso Comic Con on September 10th - 11th. We are very excited for the El Paso Comic Con because of the some of the guests that will be attending. We are huge The Walking Dead fans for both the Image Comic series and the AMC The Walking Dead. I have been lucky to meet a few of the cast members at previous events, and El Paso Comic Con will give us the opportunity to meet the Vatos from AMC's The Walking Dead.
Not only will the Vatos from The Walking Dead be special guests, but the guest of honor will be Billy Dee Williams, along with many great guests.

Welcomes Billy Dee Williams To The Sun City
El Paso Comic Con is back! The 2011 El Paso Comic Con (EPCON), is the Sun City’s premier pop culture and mainstream media event. With numerous exhibits, events, contests, and sponsors, EPCON brings the El Paso and Ciudad Juarez region a high level entertainment event that includes notable artists, authors, and movie and television stars.
Building on the success of last year’s event, EPCON promises its second year to be bigger and even better. “ We have a great line up of stars and act for this years’ EPCON”, said EPCON creator Julian Lawler.
This year’s EPCON will be held on September 10th and 11th at the El Paso Convention Center. Events are scheduled to take place between 10:00 a.m. to 6:00 p.m. Tickets are on sale now through Ticketmaster or can be purchased at the door on the day of the event.

EPCON 2011 has also added to its line up this year “Guerrilla Fest,” a two day music festival featuring a variety of bands from across the country. Headliners for the festival this year are Sumerian Records’ national recording artistes Periphery and After the Burial. Both bands will go on at 6:00 p.m. After the Burial will be preforming on September 10 and Periphery will be preforming on September 11th.
We will provide more information for the El Paso Comic Con as it comes in, but pick up your passes for only $15 one day pass or $25 for both days.
