Four young pals set out to have a great time in Las Vegas, but soon all bets are off in the one-of-a-kind sci-fi thriller comedy UNIDENTIFIED. It arrives on Digital Download and DVD from MPI/Dark Sky Films on February 11, 2014.

UNIDENTIFIED, the feature directorial debut of Jason R. Miller (co-producer and second-unit director of the hit horror films Hatchet 2 and Frozen), cleverly mixes sci-fi, suspense and laughs to create a truly unique take on an otherworldly encounter.

During a wild weekend in Las Vegas, four young friends get into trouble with a loan shark and must skip town in a hurry. But gambling debts may be the least of their worries after they get stranded in the vast Nevada desert. One of the guys discovers a mysterious metal fragment and then promptly goes missing during the night. When the remaining three catch up with their lost friend, they notice something oddly different about him. As his condition worsens, the others realize that some unearthly being may be stalking them in the wilderness.

UNIDENTIFIED stars Parry Shen (the Hatchet franchise, Better Luck Tomorrow), Colton Dunn (Key and Peele), Eddie Mui (Call Back) and Eric Artell (Pair of Kings). Parry Shen and Eddie Mui are also the producers, along with director Jason R. Miller.

Dark Sky Films Manborg is Coming this April

It is the future and the nefarious Count Draculon (Adam Brooks) and his minions rise from the bowels of Hell and take over the planet. A ragtag group of rebels is fighting back but their rebellion is effectively crushed, leaving nothing but scorched earth on which the Hellions plan to build their new world.

After a personal confrontation with the Count, a soldier (Matthew Kennedy) is blasted into oblivion only to awake in the dark future to find most of his body replaced Robocop-style with cybernetic enhancements. A mysterious inventor has turned his bloodied remains into Manborg, cyborg of destruction.

Manborg is a tour de force for writer-director-editor-makeup artist Steven Kostanski, whose credits include the horror hit Silent Hill and Guillermo del Toro's forthcoming sci-fi adventure Pacific Rim. This lo-fi sci-fi epic from infamous filmaking collective Astron-6 was met with an uproariously enthusiastic reception from audiences. 

   

Frankenstein's Army from Dark Sky Films

Dark Sky Films, Frankenstein's Army takes place toward the end of World War II, Russian soldiers pushing into eastern Germany stumble across a secret Nazi lab, one that has unearthed and begun experimenting with the journal of one Dr. Victor Frankenstein. The scientists have used the legendary Frankenstein's work to assemble an army of super-soldiers stitched together from the body parts of their fallen comrades -- a desperate Hitler's last ghastly ploy to escape defeat.

On Saturday, January 26th, MPI/Dark Sky Film’s Frankenstein’s Army will have its World Premiere in director Richard Raaphorst’s homeland at the Rotterdam International Film Festival. To celebrate the world premiere, Dark Sky has released two new stills from the World War II horror/fantasy.

Frankenstein's Army stars Karel Roden (Hellboy), Alexander Mercury (The Golden Compass), Joshua Sasse (The Big I Am), Luke Newberry (The Heart of Me), Andrei Zayats (X-Men: First Class), Mark Stevenson (The Last Horror Movie), Hon Ping Tang (The Fifth Element), Cristina Catalina (Eastern Promises), Robert Gwylim (Escape from Sobibor), and Jan De Lukovicz.
