Kevin Eastman's Lost Angeles from IDW Publishing

IDW Publishing is thrilled to announce another project in their ongoing partnership with comics legend Kevin Eastman! LOST ANGELES is an action-packed, science-fiction collaboration with fellow comics luminaries Simon Bisley and Joe Pearson.

When all hell breaks loose following a massive comet’s near miss, the sprawling metropolis of Los Angeles is irreparably fractured and claimed by legions of brutal gangs. Perpetually turf-thirsty bands of fierce warriors fight day in and day out to claim blood and respect across swaths of scarce land, battered by cosmically twisted disasters. As civilization recedes into uncompromising tribal life, an anomaly surfaces: two rival gang members, Mikal and Angel, find themselves in the throes of a comet-crossed love affair. Threatening to tear their respective clans apart from within, their love becomes the centerpiece to all-out gang war as LOST ANGELES reaches its fever-pitched conclusion over six issues.

From a concept by Eastman and Bisley, a story by Eastman, Bisley, and Joe Pearson, and featuring painted covers by Bisley with pencils and inks by Eastman, LOST ANGELES promises to be a brutal, gorgeous, post-apocalyptic thrill ride the likes of which civilization has yet to see, and may not be able to handle!

Heavy Metal's Four Horsemen of the Apocalypse Art Contest

Heavy Metal Magazine’s 35th Anniversary year-long celebration hits the ground running with the epic graphic novel series, The Four Horsemen of the Apocalypse. Book One: HELLDIVER(ISBN: 978-1935351498) hits shelves on Amazon, comic book shops and retailers on April 13, 2012. Kevin Eastman, owner and publisher of Heavy Metal Magazine, states “This incredible three-book series featuring the stories of Michael Mendheim and art of Simon Bisley have sparked special fan incentives promotions and contests like the “What’s Your Vision of Pestilence? What is your vision of Pestilence? Heavy Metal Magazine and The Four Horsemen of the Apocalypse invite artists to submit their original artwork or photography interpretations to the Pestilence Art Contest through April 28, 2012. Top 10 Finalists will have the honor of their artwork celebrated in Heavy Metal Magazine’s September 2012 issue and receive a subscription to Heavy Metal Magazine, Top 5 Finalists will also receive signed copies of “The Four Horsemen of the Apocalypse: Book One: Helldiver” and Dystopia Rising: Table Top RPG from Eschaton Media with the Grand Prize Winner also taking home an original, signed Simon Bisley painting of Pestilence!
