Are you Prepared for a Zombie Apocalypse?
Here is some old news, but there may be many of our regular readers who have not come across this. The CDC (Center for Disease Control), the government organization, the same CDC that solves most of the major disease outbreaks in, and that threaten, America, has released their OFFICIAL zombie apocalypse statement. The preparedness kit is the same as their natural disaster kit, and it doesn't seem like they take the possibility of a zombie outbreak serious enough, but it's the freakin' CDC that released it. It has to be at least somewhat probable for the government to release an official stance on the "what if" scenario! Check it out here:

More ZOMBIES!!!
Because Mr. LaDouche is going through Walking Dead withdrawals:
Do you want Zombie Apocalypse Survival to be part of your college credentials? Michigan State University will be offering a Summer 2012 course! I'm sure (if there are anymore spots) room is limited for this course as we look forward to mankind's impending doom. Check out the professors video preview (it's done in a cheesy zombie movie style and makes him look unfit to teach the course) and course description at the site link:
Hopefully I will find more fun zombie stuff to keep you busy in the coming weeks!

Zombies!!!
Because Mr. LaDouche has been going through Walking Dead withdrawal:
Have you ever wondered if you could survive the Zombie Apocalypse? Well you may get your chance! A group called "Zed Events" is putting on a full immersion 4-5 hour zombie attack in an abandoned shopping mall. Upon arriving groups of up to 15 individuals are equipped with airsoft weapons and gear and put through a basic training and survival tutorial by a Police special firearms team. Next comes the fun! The experience comes in 2 stages starting with a "run, hide, survive" round where participants have to survive for about 2.5 hours with very limited ammunition and only a few more possibilities of acquiring more. The second stage is a series of missions that play out something like a video game. Both sessions last up to 2.5 hours and tickets cost about $158 which includes all the joy described plus coffee, tea and snacks. This is sure to be an insane adrenaline rush! Check out the video below and then check out their website:

The only downside to this awesome event (for those of us in the US) is that it is only happening in the UK in Reading (about a half hour by train from London). The event started this month (March 2012) and is limited to the date of the malls (as of yet) unscheduled demolition. If you have a trip to the UK scheduled or can make a trip out soon, contact the geniuses at Zed Events and book your tickets asap! Can't wait until something like this hits the South West part of the US, maybe Angry Koala can do something about that, hmm...

The Walking Dead Panel at Image Expo
Image Expo is excited to announce the addition of Norman Reedus, who plays Daryl Dixon on AMC's record-breaking television series The Walking Dead to the comic convention's The Walking Dead panel. The panel takes place during Image Expo on Saturday, February 25 at 4 p.m. in the Oakland Convention Center in Oakland, California. Reedus will join The Walking Dead creator and executive producer Robert Kirkman and Reedus' "Walking Dead" castmate Steven Yeun (Glenn) in conversation with Chris Hardwick.
Fans of The Walking Dead stick around after the show every week to watch The Talking Dead and hear what goes on behind the scenes of cable TV's highest rated drama in history. This conversation will be even better because you can see it up close and in person exclusively by attending Image Expo. This unique and first-time ever opportunity offers the chance to not only listen in but ask your own questions of some of the show's principle players live and in person. Kirkman, Yeun, and Reedus will talk to Hardwick about the latest shocking plot twists and what it’s like working on a show that has taken the world by storm.
This is just one of the exciting panels taking place during Image Expo, ranging from small, limited-attendance workshops conducted by the Image founders to large panels with some of comics' most talented creators talking about the present and future of the industry. In addition to this panel, Robert Kirkman will also be on the stage for three other panels: to discuss taking your favorite comics from the page to television, the latest from his Image Comics imprint Skybound, and a special fan question-and-answer session. Interview with Matt Mogk, Head of Zombie Research Society at Comikaze Expo
Are you a fan of Night of the Living Dead, The Walking Dead, Dawn of the Dead, Zombieland? Are you ready to survive the Zombie Apocalypse? The Zombie Research Society is an organization that is trying to advocate the awareness of the Zombie pandemic. There is no question of if the Zombie pandemic can happen, it is actually a matter of when it will happen. This is what the Zombie Research Society wants everyone to know and they are here to help us.
Becoming a member of the Zombie Research Society can be a benefit in learning and preparing for the Zombie pandemic. We had the opportunity to meet Matt Mogk, Head of the Zombie Research Society this past weekend at the Comikaze Expo. We are huge fans of Zombie films, shows, and comics and I have always had questions about Zombies. Could I survive a zombie apocalypse? Would I be able to kill a zombie, especially if it turns to be a loved one? We were fortunate enough to interview Matt Mogk and we are very grateful. We interviewed him this past Sunday, which happened to be the same day he was a guest on AMC's The Talking Dead!!
