Image Comics The Spread #3 Preview

 Justin Jordan (DEAD BODY ROAD, LUTHER STRODE) and Kyle Strahm’s (HACK/SLASH, HAUNT) SPREAD will up the stakes further in the third issue of the hit new sci-fi series about a nefarious viral growth that has almost completely taken over the world. The only light in the darkness comes from No, a man driven to protect a child who may hold the secret to fighting back against the spread. Standing in their way are marauders, bandits, disasters, and, of course, the lethal spread.

In issue #3, it’s chow time in Fat Jack's Cannibal Café and readers are invited.

Image Comics The Spread Continues to Consume the Readers

The second issue of Justin Jordan (DEAD BODY ROAD, the Luther Strode series) and Kyle Strahm’s (HACK/SLASH, HAUNT) SPREAD has sold out immediately at the distributor level and will head into a second printing. The series continues to grow in popularity, as SPREAD #1 has sold out once again and will be sent into its third printing. Both issues have sold out completely as readers discover the infectious story that has been compared to John Carpenter’s The Thing. The scheduled reprintings will arrive on 9/10 to meet customer demand.

SPREAD #1 reveals that ten years ago, humanity unleashed something ancient that couldn’t be controlled that would later be called "The Spread." Now, deep inside a quarantined zone, one man named No has found what might be the key to stopping it forever and saving the world.

In SPREAD #2, the situation looks bleak for No. Raiders, slavers, and a hungry flesh-eating Spreadworm stand in his way.

SPREAD #1 and #2 have completely sold out at the distributor level, but may still be available in comic stores. Image Comics The Spread #1 was released yesterday and it was an instant hit. We had a chance to read the first issue and it definitely got us hooked to want more. The Spread #1 was created by Justin Jordan (Dead Body Road, Luther Strode) and Kyle Strahm (Hack/Slash, Haunt). 

The Spread has created a world of an Apocalypse that no one has seen before. The Spread is a strange red viral growth that has taken over the planet and devours people. There is one man known as No who is out there to survive. As he is out in this strange horrific world, he will soon come face to face with a baby girl known as Hope. No will soon learn that there still may be "Hope" in saving the world and stopping the Spread.

We really enjoyed the first issue of The Spread and Justin Jordan and Kyle Strahm have us wanting more. With all of the comic series of out there of creators' own versions of their Apocalyptic worlds, The Spread gives us a new twist. We want to learn how No and Hope can stop "The Spread" and who they may encounter in the adventures.

We were not the only ones that were excited to read The Spread. Image Comics has brought in another successful series that has sold out instantly in its first day of release resulting in a Second Printing of The Spread #1.
