Street Fighter and Mortal Kombat Statues from Pop Culture Shock Toys Booth at WonderCon 2015

WonderCon 2015 brought another amazing year in meeting some of our favorite comic companies, creators, artists, and exhibitors. Being a huge fan of everything in Pop Culture, it would only be fitting to visit the Pop Culture Shock booth. We first came across Pop Culture Shock when Sideshow Collectibles began offering some of their statues. They have created some of the best detailed 1/4 scales statues from Street Fighter. The Pop Culture Shock Toys booth would immediately grab my attention when I saw the Planet of the Apes statue.

The Planet of the Apes 1/4 scale Ursus on Steed was truly amazing! The detail in Ursus and his Steed brought the characters back to life from the original Planet of the Apes films.

Masters of the Universe can never get old especially for someone who grew up watching He-Man as a child. He-Man would stand tall in a great pose holding his shield and the Power Sword. The Masters of the Universe He-Man is a 1/4 scale statue.

We were first introduced to Pop Culture Shock Toys because of their Street Fighter statues. They did bring a couple of familiar characters along with Akuma and Sub-Zero. Any Street Fighter fan would want to jump on these to add them to their collection. Again, the details in Pop Culture Shock Toys statues are truly amazing that bring their characters to life.

With the upcoming release of Mortal Kombat X, Pop Culture Shock Toys has joined in on the fun of creating our favorite piece at their booth. This is the 1/4 scale Mortal Kombat X Kotal Kahn statue. Kotal Kahn stands tall holding up a heart that he may have just earned from a Brutality. Kotal Kahn will be coming with an extra head without his highly detailed Headdress. He has a great color scheme, which helps the detail to his clothing also stand out.

We are definitely looking forward to seeing what Pop Culture Shock Toys will be creating in the next year.

Funko Pop! Sesame Street Series is a Definite!

It was first announced at the New York Comic Con last October that Funko acquired the license for Sesame Street. Some lucky New York Comic Con attendees were fortunate to score the First to Market Super Grover Pop! from Toy Tokyo. During the New York Toy Fair this past February, Funko would reveal the first series of hopefully many more Sesame Street Pop! characters, which includes Super Grover, Cookie Monster, Oscar the Grouch, Bert, and Ernie.

Growing up to the Sesame Street, the Funko Pop! Sesame Street series brings back great memories. This series looks terrific and great in the Pop! form. The Sesame Street series will be in stores this June.
