Wild Wild West Steampunk Convention

This past weekend was the Wild Wild West Steampunk Convention in Old Tucson. Old Tucson is the perfect venue for this event. I can't think of a more suiting place for this type of convention. Set in a western themed town in the mountains, Steampunk cosplayers came from near and far. The best thing about steampunk is there are no limits. It transcends into so many genres and there are so many possibilities. Check out the pictures below and pick your favorite. If you don't see something you like, consider spending countless hours on your own and join us for next year's convention.

Wild Wild West Steampunk Con 4 in Old Tucson Studios

Now that our 2015 Comic Convention season kicked off with Amazing Arizona Comic Con, it is time to start attending the cons this year. On March 6th - 8th, the Wild Wild West Steampunk Con 4 will be at Old Tucson Studios in Tucson, AZ. This will be our third time attending the Steampunk Convention and this year's theme is Mad Science! If you are a fan of the Steampunk genre, you will want to pay a visit to give this convention a try. You will definitely find the best costumes and exhibitors for this very awesome, unique genre. We have loved the great originality in the cosplayers who attend and look forward to seeing what they create this year.

Here are a couple of our articles we shared for the last two years at Wild Wild West Steampunk Con:

This year will have Kato, Steampunk Boba Fett, Brian Kesinger, and the League of S.T.E.A.M. return along with the great musical group of Steam Powered Giraffe. There is a great line up of great panels and Q&A with the special guests and entertainers. We are definitely very excited for the return of this event and glad to see it here in Tucson, AZ at the Old Tucson Studios, which is a perfect location for this convention.

Tickets are available here!

Stay tuned with our coverage at Wild Wild West Steampunk Con 4!

Interview with Diana Given of the Wild Wild West Steampunk Convention III at Old Tucson Studios

We have been fortunate to attend many great conventions from San Diego Comic Con, WonderCon, Amazing Arizona Comic Con, Phoenix Comicon, to Steampunk Los Angeles. Well for the second year, we have been able to attend the Wild Wild West Steampunk Convention III at Old Tucson Studios. Residing in Tucson, AZ makes it very easy to not have an excuse but to check out Steampunk in action and why not but in an amazing location as Old Tucson Studios where is seems to be a perfect fit. We enjoyed the event last year where we would get to see the creativity in Steampunkins, Lady Mechanika's creator Joe Benitez, The League of S.T.E.A.M., and of course the amazing Cosplayers of Steampunk

Wild Wild West Steampunk Convention III would deliver once again with Steampunkins, Lady Mechanika, and even more amazing Cosplayers! We were in for a special treat this year in meeting one of the co-owners for the event, Diana Given who would also be in an amazing costume of her own in her Steampunk Captain America.

We had the opportunity to interview Diana Given about the Wild Wild West Steampunk Con and how she became involved in the Steampunk genre.

Take a look at our other stories on the Wild Wild West Steampunk Con III and let us know what you think. It was definitely even more amazing of an event than last year and it will only get better from here. Thanks to Diana Given and the great staff and volunteers of Wild Wild West Steampunk Convention!

Cosplay at Wild Wild West Steampunk Convention 3

We were fortunate to attend the Wild Wild West Steampunk Convention at Old Tucson Studios. I could not think of a better place to host this style of sci-fi. The con-attendees loved hanging out in front of the courthouse. It's as if the venue was made just for event.  The weather was perfect as well.

Cosplayers really do make cons. There were so many steampunk cosplayers this year that spent countless hours getting every detail right, down to the last gear. Event co-owner, Diana Given, pictured below was participating. She was a victorian Captain America. Thank you to all who made this a special event. The intricate costumes were amazing.
