Gentle Giant Star Wars Jumbo Kenner Han Solo Hoth Figure

Gentle Giant continues on with one of our favorite lines in the Vintage Star Wars Jumbo Kenner action figures with the first in the Battle of Hoth.

Digitally scanned from mint 3 3/4” Kenner originals and reproduced in scale to the rest of the jumbo Kenner line. Nothing has been overlooked. Roto and injection molded and made of durable plastics, this fully-articulated jumbo figure includes a faithfully reproduced blaster.

That’s not all, this classic Kenner creation comes packaged on a 1979 The Empire Strikes Back-inspired blister card, featuring original front artwork in a re-sealable plastic outer clam shell to help protect and display!

Gentle Giant Star Wars IG-88 Kenner Jumbo Figure

In order to track down the fleeing Han Solo and Princess Leia, Darth Vader has assembled a rogues gallery of Bounty Hunters and assorted scum… including the deadly assassin droid, IG-88!

Digitally scanned from mint 3 3/4” Kenner originals and reproduced to a substantial 1/6th scale, IG-88 towers above the competition. Nothing has been overlooked. Roto and injection molded and made of durable plastics, this jumbo figure is fully articulated and includes a pair of faithfully reproduced blasters, just like the original.

That’s not all, this classic Kenner creation comes packaged on a 1980 Empire Strikes Back-inspired blister card, featuring original front and “45 back” artwork, in a re-sealable plastic outer clam shell to help protect and display!

Star Wars Vintage Collection Wave 5

We received a huge surprise in the mail from Big Bad Toy Store with a case of the Star Wars Vintage Collection Wave 5. Hasbro has done a tremendous job with the Vintage Collection, which has been one of my favorite Star Wars lines. Wave 5 is a special case because it was released strictly online and will not be found at retail stores.

Emperor's Royal Guard

The Emperor's Royal Guard is an amazing figure and by far the best sculpt on a Royal Guard and it has a removable helmet.

Weequay

Another great sculpt with Weequay! The Skiff will look good with the guards now including Weequay.

Gungan Warrior

Ahsoka

Aurra Sing

Aurra Sing had a few second appearance in the film, but just like Boba Fett, she seems to be one of the most popular characters. Love this figure and like the weapons and accessories she comes with, especially her collection of lightsabers.

Republic Trooper
(The Old Republic)

Lumat

Mawhonic
Podracer Pilot

Obi-Wan Kenobi

Really love the sculpt of Obi-Wan Kenobi. I wish he came with a helmet though.

Nien Nunb

Truly amazing sculpt of Nien Nunb!

Orrimaarko
Prune Face

Naboo Pilot

Hasbro has done it once again with releasing an amazing wave of figures. There are three figures that are returning in this wave that have previously been released, but glad to see them on a Vintage card. The Naboo Pilot, Mawhonic, and Aurra Sing were released in the exclusive Walmart waves with 3d glasses. The sculpts are awesome in all of the figures and love the mixture of figures from different Star Wars films and Expanded Universe. We hope that the Vintage Collection will return to stores and not disappear. This definitely has been my favorite line from Hasbro because of the Vintage cardbacks and bringing back memories of the original figures I have and the figures I played with as a child.

Star Wars Vintage Farewell Wave 7

It is sad for me to report that the Star Wars Vintage 3 3/4 action figure line will come to an end, this November. This wave will only be available through special online retailers, and not at mass retail stores. Hasbro reports that this wave is a very limited run. So, preorder your case quickly before they run out. Although, no word was given as to why Hasbro put a halt to this great line of figures. Your guess is as good as ours. Rumor has it, Hasbro is just putting it on hiatus for 2013 and will return in 2014. Until then, enjoy this picture of the final 2012 wave.

HasbroToyShop.com has some of the San Diego Comic Con Exclusives up right now, but they are selling out. The Star Wars set is still available, which includes the Jar Jar Binks in Carbonite Vintage Card.

Good luck!
