Superbowl XLIX Reveals NBC's Heroes Reborn Teaser Trailer

Whether your team won the Superbowl XLIX last night or was even in the game, we had a great victory in seeing a very short clip of the return of NBC's Heroes with the teaser for Heroes Reborn to come later this year. We have this feeling we are looking at seeing it in the Fall 2015 during TV's new television programming.

We know it was not much, but it did the job to give us the goosebumps while watching during the Superbowl.

Funny thing is that I was just wondering what was going on with the return Heroes just recently. We shared the news from NBC just about a year now actually on the return of Heroes last February 22nd in this article.
 http://www.angrykoalagear.com/2014/02/nbcs-heroes-is-returning-in-2015.html

NBC's Heroes was truly a fresh, new series that was on television in its first season. The series was very original with characters just learning they had a gift and then learning how to use that gift. All I remember was "Save the Cheerleader". The first season was phenomenal and the best thing on television at the time! Unfortunately, the second season took a turn, but was still enjoyable. The series may have been greatly affected during the Writer's Guild Strike. We were huge fans of the show and still dedicated ourselves to watching the series until the end of Season 3. Heroes was never fully complete and we hoped for the best of a return and we will later this year.

We are definitely looking forward to seeing the return of NBC's Heroes, in Heroes Reborn. Just as stated in the article we wrote last year, it was not clear if we would see familiar faces, but from the teaser we have at least one in Noah Bennett. Is the Cheerleader near by?

SDCC 2014: NBC, Universal Television Ready to Invade San Diego Comic Con

NBC and Universal Television have announced their plans for the upcoming Comic-Con International gathering in San Diego, which runs from July 24-27.

The network will present panels for returning series “The Blacklist” and “Hannibal” while Universal Television will host panels for NBC’s “Grimm,” its A&E series “Bates Motel” as well as a new untitled series coming to Adult Swim that stars Triumph the Insult Comic Dog and “30 Rock” alumnus Jack McBrayer. Also, Warner Bros. Television will present multiple screenings and a panel for new NBC Friday night series “Constantine.”

CONSTANTINE
Based upon the characters from DC Comics, “Constantine” reflects the lore of the fan-favorite comic, combining noirish storytelling with the evolving mythology of John Constantine (Matt Ryan), a morally challenged character who doesn’t come down on the side of either good or evil … but ultimately might be the only thing defending us against the dark forces from beyond.

There will be a huge presence for “Constantine” at Comic-Con, including at Gaslamp Square (Thursday-Sunday between the Hard Rock Hotel and the Convention Center) where a 3-D experience will immerse fans in the world of “Constantine.” Limited edition souvenirs will also be given away.

Comic-Con fans will have a chance to see the world premiere of the “Constantine” pilot as part of Warner Bros. Television’s annual Preview Night screenings on Wednesday, July 23 at 6 p.m. in Ballroom 20.

The Warner Bros. Television panel for “Constantine” is set for Saturday, July 26 at 5:15 p.m. in room 6BCF. This will include a screening of the complete pilot, followed by a Q&A with cast members Matt Ryan, Harold Perrineau and Charles Halford, as well as executive producers David S. Goyer and Daniel Cerone. The panel will be moderated by TV Guide magazine’s Michael Schneider.

Additionally, on Saturday, July 26 at 8 p.m. in Hall H, “Constantine” will be included in the Warner Bros. Television/DC Entertainment three-hour special Comic-Con event, with cast members and executive producers making appearances on the Hall H stage and footage from the pilot being screened.

THE BLACKLIST
To discuss its phenomenal first season, as well as what’s ahead for season two, Raymond “Red” Reddington himself, James Spader, will headline “The Blacklist” panel on Saturday, July 26 at 1:45 p.m. in room 6A. In addition to Spader, executive producers Jon Bokenkamp and John Eisendrath will participate in the panel, which will be moderated by TV Guide’s Michael Schneider.

The No. 1 new series of the 2013-14 season, “The Blacklist” will take over Tin Fish Restaurant at Gaslamp Square (Thursday-Sunday). Fans will be able to get on “The Blacklist” via a custom photo opportunity and also receive “Blacklist” souvenirs.

GRIMM
Friday night fave “Grimm” will return to Comic-Con with a panel on Saturday, July 26 at 3 p.m. in Ballroom 20 that will feature an exclusive video. The panel, moderated by Mary McNamara of the Los Angeles Times, will include cast members David Giuntoli, Russell Hornsby, Bitsie Tulloch, Silas Weir Mitchell, Sasha Roiz, Reggie Lee, Bree Turner and Claire Coffee, as well as executive producers David Greenwalt, Jim Kouf and Norberto Barba.

HANNIBAL
For the critically beloved drama “Hannibal,” which Vulture.com says is “unlike anything else on TV or anything that ever has been on TV,” the panel will include cast members Caroline Dhavernas, Aaron Abrams and Scott Thompson, as well as executive producers Bryan Fuller, Martha De Laurentiis, Steve Lightfoot and David Slade. The panel, organized by Gaumont International Television and moderated by U.K. talk show host Jonathan Ross, will take place Thursday, July 24 at 4:45 p.m. in Ballroom 20.

BATES MOTEL
Executive producers Carlton Cuse and Kerry Ehrin will be joined by the cast, including Vera Farmiga in her Emmy Award-nominated role as Norma Bates, Freddie Highmore, Olivia Cooke and Nestor Carbonell to discuss the hit series. Fans will hear firsthand details about what is to come in season three debuting in 2015. The panel will be moderated by Dan Snierson from Entertainment Weekly on Friday, July 25 at 3:30 p.m. in Room 6A.

NBC's Heroes is Returning in 2015

NBC is bringing back its conquering “Heroes.”

An iconic series that still commands a rabid fan base, “Heroes” will return to the network in 2015 as an event miniseries with original creator and executive producer Tim Kring at the helm, it was announced today by NBC Entertainment President Jennifer Salke.

NBC has ordered 13 episodes for a new stand-alone story arc entitled “Heroes Reborn,” with all details of storylines and characters being kept under wraps.

“The enormous impact ‘Heroes’ had on the television landscape when it first launched in 2006 was eye-opening,” said NBC Entertainment  President Jennifer Salke. “Shows with that kind of resonance don’t come around often and we thought it was time for another installment. We’re thrilled that visionary creator Tim Kring was as excited about jumping back into this show as we were and we look forward to all the new textures and layers Tim plans to add to his original concept. Until we get closer to air in 2015, the show will be appropriately shrouded in secrecy, but we won’t rule out the possibility of some of the show’s original cast members popping back in.”

The original series chronicled the life-changing stories of a series of unrelated ordinary people who discovered they had superhuman abilities. As the saga unfolded, they learned they were part of a grand plan that brought them together to change the world.

With the return of “Heroes Reborn,” NBC will launch a digital series prior to the 2015 premiere that will introduce the characters and new storylines. This leveraging of social media is a way for fans to re-engage with what was one for the true pioneers in multiplatform storytelling.

#HeroesReborn

The iconic sci-fi series, which ran on NBC from 2006-10 and was an immediate hit, ranked as television’s #1 new drama with an average audience of 14.5 million viewers during its initial season. The show was Golden Globe-nominated in its first year of eligibility for best drama series; it won the BAFTA Award for best international series, the AFI Award, the Academy of Science Fiction, Fantasy & Horror Films Saturn Award, two People’s Choice Awards and the Television Critics Association Award for Program of the Year.

“Heroes” remains one of the best-selling TV series on DVD of all time with more than 10 million units sold.

NBC'S Heroes Lives on in New Dynamite Comic Book Series

Direct from Dynamite...

NBC'S Heroes Television Series Continues in
New Dynamite Comic Book Series, Written by Cullen Bunn

Dynamite proudly announces a licensing partnership with NBCUniversal Television Consumer Products that will bring back one of the biggest primetime successes of the past decade, the superhuman drama Heroes.  Working with Dynamite for the first time, popular writer Cullen Bunn (of Marvel's Fearless Defenders and Deadpool) will build upon open-ended storylines of the diverseHeroes cast in a completely unexpected way.

Heroes was a beloved weekly drama airing from 2006 through 2010, chronicling the lives of ordinary people whose mysterious superhuman powers led to internal conflicts and government conspiracies.  The series featured a star-studded cast, including Hayden Panettiere, Ali Larter, Adrian Pasdar, Milo Ventimiglia, Zachary Quinto, Santiago Cabrera, and Masi Oka.  During its first season, Heroes enjoyed an average American viewership of 14.3 million per weekly episode, with a premiere episode that achieved NBC's highest rating in five years.  Critically acclaimed, the show received numerous accolades, including a wealth of Primetime Emmy, Golden Globe, People's Choice and British Academy Television awards and nominations.

"Like so many others, I was a huge fan of Heroes during its original run," says writer Cullen Bunn.  "I was drawn to a cast of characters with interesting back stories and development, a setting boiling over with potential, and -- of course -- the exploration of superpowers in a 'real' world scenario. With this book, I have the opportunity to contribute to the mythology of the series in a way that will surprise readers.  When I was watching the show, I never could have imagined the direction I'd be taking the story.  The narrative I'm developing will be multi-layered, complex, and character-focused, and it will shake up theHeroes storyline in a major way.  I don't think anyone is expecting what we have in store for Claire, Hiro, Peter, Niki, Sylar, and the rest of the gang."

Cullen Bunn has written comic books for Oni Press (The Sixth GunHelheimThe Damned, and The Tooth) and Marvel Comics (Fearless DefendersDeadpool KillustratedVenomWolverine, and Spider-Man: Season One).  He also writes short fiction and novels, including the middle reader horror novel,Crooked Hills, and the collection of short horror fiction, Creeping Stones & Other Stories.
