Xpanded Universe Grand Opening and Celebrating May the 4th

May the 4th Be With You!

Star Wars Day 2015 could not get any better than to celebrate it in a big with a grand opening we have been looking forward to here in downtown Tucson with Xpanded Universe. Xpanded Universe celebrated their grand opening in a big way with not only the store, but also having a great Star Wars Show filled with great paintings, comics, and more! Xpanded Universe opened their doors last month, but wanted to do some finishing touches for the grand opening and it was perfect.

We entered Xpanded Universe to see this amazing mural with a Tie Fighter and these guys were standing guard.

Xpanded Universe own Bald Larry will be in production very soon. These pieces are amazing with great sculpts and detail. You have to love the 80's classic of the Critters. More details will be coming soon for Xpanded Universe exclusive Bald Larry. Stay tuned!

I am truly a fan of Samurai armor and have always loved seeing the Samurai Boba Fett at various comic cons. It was awesome to see the armor being displayed at Xpanded Universe.

As Xpanded Universe celebrates their grand opening tonight, they also created a Star Wars Show to celebrate May the 4th (Star Wars Day). The Star Wars Show was held next door at the Studio One.

This Chewbacca mask was amazing and all made of paper. The picture does not serve it enough justice because as the air was blowing in the room, the Chewbacca hair was also flowing in the breeze.

Great Star Wars Han Solo piece created by artist Jason Pedersen.

This Boba Fett Action Figure painting was awesome!

Who would ever thought to make R2-D2 a Kaiju? Great painting!

Another great Han Solo piece by artist Ernest Romero.

Great piece titled, "Young Yoda" by artist Eric Schock.

Congratulations to Xpanded Universe for an amazing grand opening!

We have been waiting for a store to open in Tucson that appreciates the Designer Toy World and Art. We are excited for what is to come and can not wait for the release of Bald Larry. Oh and we got a great surprise from Mike Olivares of Xpanded Universe.

Mike Olivares has been doing some casting and made these Stormtrooper helmets. We scored a Glow in the Dark one that glows great. Thanks Mike and congrats again!
