At the San Diego Comic Con, Weta had an incredible presence with The Hobbit merchandise and collectibles. They had prop replicas, statues, gold and perhaps the most impressive was the life-size Smaug. The detail on the massive size of Smaug's head, is amazing. From the scales, to the horns on his head. You had to be quiet because you wouldn't want to wake Smaug from his slumber, would you? Well of course with the thousands of attendants, he woke up. In fact he was awake if you patiently waited for him. Check out the video of Smaug below and the other goodies that were at the Weta booth. Weta's attention to detail always leaves us astonished.
