Dollhouse Epitaphs #4 from Dark Horse

Variant Cover

Joss Whedon's TV series Dollhouse is the inspiration for the Dark Horse Dollhouse Epitaphs comic. Dollhouse Epitaphs is in it's 4th issue. The story is written by Andrew Chambliss, Jed Whedon and Maurissa Tancharoen with pencils by Cliff Richards, inks by Andy Owens and Colors by Michelle Madsen. Cover art was completed by Phil Noto and the variant cover by Stephanie Hans.

If you are unfamiliar with a the Dollhouse, they are establishments located all over the world where rich customers can order a human doll programmed with skills and personalities they request. After the doll has completed their job for the customer, the doll has their memory wiped clean.  However, the technology used to the dolls' memories clean has gone viral and it makes anyone it infects a killer. We wrote about the issue #1 if you want to take a look.

Alpha and his crew are trying to take down the Rossum headquarters in Tucson, Arizona. In addition, they are trying to find Echo. In this issue, Trevor quickly grows up and takes charge of the search for Echo.  Meanwhile, Griff, Zone and Mag are in Hollywood trying to work together to recruit and revolt against the Rossum Corporation.

I won't spoil the outcome for you but I will say that with each issue of the Dollhouse Epitaphs I'm wishing more and more that Chambliss, Whedon and Tancharoen could bring this to television.

This one is available on 10/12.
