And while each day comiXology gives fans a hot new comic from a surprise publisher, that's not all. During these twelve days you can also gift these amazing comics to friends, family, co-workers, or anyone on your gift-giving list, also for free!

“ComiXology has had an amazing year and to celebrate we – along with 12 amazing publisher partners – are giving back to the fans and giving them the opportunity to freely share amazing comics,” said co-founder and CEO David Steinberger. “By delivering the best reading and buying experience – what we like to call 'buy once, read anywhere' – we’ve hit such milestones as cresting 100 million downloads of comics and graphic novels!”
“Our vision is for everyone, everywhere to read comics and with our Twelve Days of Gifting we’re continuing to make good on that promise,” said co-founder John D. Roberts. “With comiXology being the 11th Top Grossing iPad app in 2011, it’s been gratifying to see how often we’re the very top grossing iPad app this year, particularly on Wednesdays. But we couldn’t have done it without the comiXology fans. These Twelve Days of Gifting are for you and for anyone that loves comics. Spread the love!”

Most recently in the news during this year’s New York Comic Con, comiXology passed its 100 millionth comic and graphic novel download this past October. In addition, during the show comiXology grew their already expansive library of comics and graphic novels to include the Diary of a Wimpy Kid series published by Amulet Books, an imprint of ABRAMS, Terry Moore’s Strangers In Paradise, as well as publishers Ishimori Productions and GT Labs. Previous to this, during Comic-Con International in San Diego, comiXology announced the addition of ABRAMS ComicArts, Simpsons Comics and Fantagraphics Books to their growing roster of offerings.
