Star Wars: Blood Ties - Boba Fett is Dead #1 Review

Star Wars fans will be interested to really know if it is true. Is the #1 Bounty Hunter in the Star Wars Galaxy really dead? Could someone really kill Boba Fett?

Dark Horse Comics Star Wars: Blood Ties- Boba Fett is Dead #1 is in stores today! When Dark Horse first announced this 4-part series, I was thrilled and eager to learn more about it.

"He is acknowledged as the galaxy's greatest and most feared bounty hunter. The stories of his accomplishments are legendary, and the list of his enemies is endless.

But, even a quick, resourceful man might one day meet his match. And if he is outnumbered, even the fastest man might be run to ground. And killed.

However, Boba Fett has not always been completely alone. Even he has blood ties to more than one individual in the galaxy-individuals who might take notice at the announcement of this death..."
Being a huge Star Wars fan, I was intrigued by the title alone, but to see the cover and first page are truly amazing, thanks to Chris Scalf doing the art. One simple line in the first page captures the reader immediately, "Boba Fett is Dead." Tom Taylor provides the script and Mr. Taylor is not a stranger in creating amazing Star Wars stories. He has written the Star Wars: Invasion series, Star Wars: Adventures Luke Skywalker and The Treasure of the Dragonsnakes, Star Wars Adventures: The Will of Darth Vader and Star Wars: Blood Ties - a tale of Jango and Boba Fett.

Boba Fett has always been one to work alone and has been very successful and he is an individual who   has more enemies than friends. Boba Fett managed to make his fame well known throughout the galaxy, which is why his death was announced throughout the entire galaxy.

We do learn though that Fett has managed to have a positive influence on individuals even though most know of his reputation. In the page above we learn that Connor seems to have taken the news hard because he mentions that Boba Fett helped him to open the cantina. Fett was not killed by only one individual but rather a group of Imperials, and others with great connections and power.

Boba Fett's death may make many very pleased, but a mysterious person will soon to plan their own investigation and target one individual at a time who was involved in Fett's fate. Who is this mysterious person? Is this individual a close friend of Fett's?

I loved the first issue of Star Wars: Blood Ties-Boba Fett is Dead! Tom Taylor and Chris Scalf did an amazing job in the story and the art. These two have worked together before in Star Wars: Blood Ties - a tale of Jango and Boba Fett, which was a great series. The story and writiing kept me interested in seeing who was behind the murder of the famous bounty hunter. The introduction of the mysterious person made me want to know who it is and somehow rooting for them because they seem to want to avenge the death of Fett. I love Chris Scalf's art style and each page looks like an amazing painting. Star Wars fans should be very pleased in what is to come and hope to see how and who is involved in the killing of Boba Fett.
