The New 52 Continues with Detective Comics #1

Here we are into the second week of the new 52 from DC Comics re-launch and it is a big week. Detective Comics #1 joins the likes of Action Comics #1, Batgirl #1, and a few others. Detective Comics first began in the 1930's and introduced the world to Batman. It is amazing to think that some of comics most famous superheroes first began in the 1930's, and they are going to get somewhat a new start here in 2011. DC Comics has created history this past week with the release of Justice League #1 and going into a third printing proves this. It was incredible! I was skeptical amongst many at first about the re-launch saying it would be a huge publicity stunt, but I love it so far. I will be at my local comic shop buying a few more of the new 52 this Wednesday, September 7th, including Detective Comics #1 and Action Comics #1. (By the way, Action Comics #1 is going to second print already, so make sure you pick up the first print before it is too late)

USA Today has a great article and interview from Tony Daniel who not only is the artist, but in charge of the story as well. http://www.usatoday.com/life/comics/story/2011-09-05/Tony-Daniel-makes-history-with-Detective-Comics-No-1/50263336/1
