Phoenix Comicon is this Weekend!!

Comic Conventions makes the Angry Koala Gear crew happy. First, we were able to attend the first annual Amazing Arizona Comic Con in Mesa, AZ kicking off the new year with an awesome convention, which Robert Kirkman shared a few answers what are to come for Season 2 of AMC's, The Walking Dead. We also had the opportunity to attend the Long Beach Comic Expo and attend a couple of great panels by Aspen Comics and see what great comics we should be looking forward to this summer, especially Lady Mechanika. We also were lucky to be extras on the filming of The Guild. We had a blast and hopefully we made the cut on a scene or two of The Guild Season 5.

This past weekend, we were invited thanks to Heroes and Villains Comic Shop here in Tucson, AZ to moderate the Comic Book Artist Panel at the Manga Mania event at Murphy-Wilmot Pima County Library. This was our first time moderating and it was a lot of fun! Well, this leads us to this Memorial Weekend, which will be great fun to attend the Phoenix Comicon for our first time. There are loads of special guests, panels, artists, costumes, and much more. We will be on hand to take many pictures and attend panels and post as much new information we can get from the guests. We are very excited for the Phoenix Comicon. If you are going to be in Arizona this weekend, you may want to make a stop at least one day at the Phoenix Convention Center. Even if you do not attend, I can guarantee if you walk around downtown Phoenix this weekend you will be seeing many people in costumes and plenty of geeks.

The list of guests includes George Takei, Leonard Nimoy, Stan Lee, Billy Dee Wiliams, Elvira, John Layman, Rob Guillory, Todd McFarlane and so many more guests. Costuming groups such as the Arizona Avengers, Dune Sea Garrison 501st Legion, AZ Ghostbusters, and other costume groups who will be at the convention for great photo opportunities. (I think you will find us in a few of these pictures) Do not forget about the panels, there will be plenty of great panels as well. What is a comic convention without panels? This is actually only a little information of what the Phoenix Comicon will offer this Memorial Weekend.

Hopefully we will see you there!
