Do Androids Dream of Electric Sheep?

How many amazing stories, films, short stories, and comics exist today? How many authors, writers, and artists are out there who we may have never heard of or known? With all of the comic book companies that exist today, it is quite hard to really ever keep up. There are some incredible comics out right now and there is no way I have time to keep up, even if I had 3 clones to help me. I usually do not try to start reading a comic series that has been on going because it can become very confusing for the reader and difficult to even find back issues.

What made me change my mind on this next comic? Do Androids Dream of Electric Sheep? I would definitely have to say the title. Apparently, I just skipped this book when I would see what Boom! Studios had coming until now. Unfortunately, the book is already up to #22 and amazingly I learned that this was a book by the late Phillip K. Dick first published in 1968. I am a fan of sci-fi, but I have not heard of this book or Phillip K. Dick and it is sad that I watched Blade Runner growing up and never payed attention to where the story came from. Total Recall, was also based on his work, We Can Remember It for You Wholesale

Because the title intrigued me, I had to read Do Androids Dream of Electric Sheep? #22, which came out yesterday. I was afraid I would greatly be confused, but I felt that I never missed a beat in the story. It is definitely a true sci-fi story filled with androids, lasers, very little existence of life left on earth, and mystery. What makes this issue even more special is that Chip Mosher who is Marketing Director for Boom! Studios is a huge fan of Phillip K. Dick's work and he had a great story to tell about how he grew up to Dick's incredible career. If you are as curious as I am to start a new comic series, I may suggest we try Do Androids Dream of Electric Sheep? The series is actually the complete text of Phillip K. Dick's Do Androids Dream of Electric Sheep?

Here are the first few pages from Do Androids Dream of Electric Sheep? #22
