Funko Pop! Asia Pop Up Store was Amazing During San Diego Comic Con

San Diego Comic Con 2015 withdrawals are continuing to kick in and reality has set to know it is over until next year. While San Diego Comic Con has grown to become the Super Bowl of all comic cons, inside the convention center, Gaslamp Quarters has been taken over as well. Over the last couple of years, stores and companies have created very cool Pop Up Stores in the Gaslamp and they have created a great craze to find special exclusives. Funko, Mindstyle, BAIT Inc. and the Sparks Gallery would team up to create a store strictly for Pop! Asia and other great pieces. Pop! Asia is fairly new to the Pop! vinyl world and it has become one of our favorites because of bringing Astro Boy, Anime, and Asian characters. Unfortunately, the market to find the Pop! Asia line is very difficult and limited to find in the United States, so the Sparks Gallery was a great plus during SDCC.

The setup of Sparks Gallery for the Pop! Asia store was pretty awesome filled up life sized Pop! Asia characters, Pop! characters, and Ron English art. We went the first day it was opened right before Preview Night of SDCC and we were already in trouble in finding lots of great exclusives before San Diego Comic Con even opened.

Along with the great display of art, there were of course the exclusives. There were quite a few great Pop! Asia exclusives available along with a few Hikari exclusives. Because it was the first day, we had to pick and choose what to go for since we still had the whole weekend of SDCC.

The GITD Tossakan is a great sculpt that stands 10" tall.

The glow is amazing on the Tossakan.

The Monkey King has been one of our favorites from the Pop! Asia line, so we had to pick up the Platinum Monkey King exclusive.

We had to pick up the Black and White Shaolin Legends Wu Tang Priest to go along side our White Brow Priest.

Our last pick up for the Pop! Asia line would be the Flocked Aswang, which is part of the Legendary Creatures and Myths and is a great Filipino folklore creature.

The Funko Pop! Asia x Mindstyle x BAIT pop up shop at Sparks Gallery was awesome and a stop we were glad we made during San Diego Comic Con weekend.
