Ol' Dirty Bastard and Eazy E Holograms Coming to Rock The Bells 2013

Guerilla Union (the promoters behind the ROCK THE BELLS FESTIVAL SERIES) announced last May that the original virtual performances of Ol’ Dirty Bastard and Eazy-E will be a part of the 2013 festival line-up. Chang Weisberg (founder and CEO of Guerilla Union) and Young Dirty Bastard (Ol' Dirty Bastard's son) recently sat down with the number one online hip hop news source and official festival media partner Hip Hop DX for an intimate discussion of these virtual special guests.

Andres Tardio of Hip Hop DX writes, “’Icelene [Jones, ODB’s widow] and the estate are 100 percent on board and we’ll be releasing a joint statement very soon,’ Weisberg told Hip Hop DX on Tuesday (July 30). ‘I can tell you that they’re 100 percent on board and supportive as well as Cherry [Jones, mother of ODB]. This has probably been the most positive experience for the entire family. That’s what going to separate the performance from anything that’s been done before because the family is going to be involved in the process, in the creation and the direction of this experience.’” Read the entire in-depth article at www.rockthbells.net or www.hiphopdx.com.

Guerilla Union will be making the third and final artist announcement along with more major festival updates on August 7. The new acts will be joining previously announced headliners Kid Cudi, Wu-Tang Clan, Black Hippy (Kendrick Lamar, Ab-Soul, Schoolboy Q, Jay Rock), Pretty Lights and many more. The festival will feature over fifty hip-hop and electronic music acts across three stages in four major markets – Los Angeles, San Francisco, Washington DC, and New York.
