Debut Issue of Witch Doctor and Super Dinosaur #3 Return to Press
Berkeley, CA – 5 July 2011 – From stories of demonic possession to robotic dino arms, Robert Kirkman's new Skybound imprint at Image Comics has made a very promising start! Not only are WITCH DOCTOR, the grisly medical horror miniseries, and the dynamic all ages ongoing SUPER DINOSAUR getting great reviews, but they are also proving to be massively popular with fans.
While writer Brandon Seifert and artist Lukas Ketner's WITCH DOCTOR #1 may still be available through some comic book retailers, the first printing copies are limited to current stock. SUPER DINOSAUR #3, by Kirkman and his former ASTOUNDING WOLF-MAN co-creator, artist Jason Howard, is also sold out at distribution level. A second printing is underway for both and will arrive back on shelves later this month.
"I've been very selective in what my Skybound imprint will publish," explained Kirkman. "Not only has Image been at the forefront of the creator owned movement since it began, but is increasingly known for maintaining relentless quality across a variety of genres. I'm pleased that the Skybound titles fit in so nicely with the rest of the line up!"
A second printing of WITCH DOCTOR #1 (MAY118278), a 32-page full-color horror comic for $2.99, is available for order now and will be back in stores on July 27. A second printing of SUPER DINOSAUR #3 (MAY118257), a 32-page all ages sci-fi adventure comic, will also be available in stores on July 27 for $2.99.
