Planet of the Apes #1 Goes to 2nd Print by Boom! Studios

It really comes with no surprise that Boom! Studios first issue of Planet of the Apes is sold out. The story is great and the artwork is incredible. If you did miss out on the first printing, you are in luck because Boom! Studios already is sending it off for a second printing. You will want to get your "damn dirty hands" on the Planet of the Apes #1 (second printing)

Planet of the Apes #1 Second Print Cover

BOOM! Studios announced today that following this week's dramatic pre-release sell out, PLANET OF THE APES #1 will be going to second print and is available to order now through Diamond Comic Distributors with the following Diamond Code: MAR118220, as well as through Haven Distributors. PLANET OF THE APES #1 second print features a don't-miss all-new original cover by ROBERT E. HOWARD'S HAWKS OF OUTREMER's Damian Couceiro.

Since mid-April, fans everywhere have been buzzing with Apes-mania since the recent unveiling of the RISE OF THE PLANET OF THE APES movie trailer! Fans going Ape lead comic book retailers to make a phenomenal amount of late-breaking advanced reorders for the first printing of BOOM! Studios' PLANET OF THE APES #1 — creating an unprecedented pre-release sell out. Since this past Wednesday's release of issue #1, demand for copies of the first printing have outstripped supply, leading BOOM! Studios to go to second print on issue #1.

All Apes fans should keep in mind, while Diamond Comic Distributor and Haven Distributors are completely sold out, first printings of PLANET OF THE APES #1 may still be found at the local comic shop nearest you. Not sure where to find your nearest comic retailer? Please use www.comicshoplocator.com.

Taking place before the original 1968 PLANET OF THE APES movie — but true to the continuity of the first five films — BOOM! Studios' PLANET OF THE APES #1 begins in a time when Ape society reaches a new golden age. But there are ripples of dissent in both the ape and human ranks. Tensions will rise and soon all will be caught in chaos! Amidst all this uncertainty...what is the fate of The Lawgiver?
Here are a few pages for preview from issue #1
